The Passenger Band is a party/cover band from Brooklyn, NY. These five friends and long-time professional musicians are excited to bring your wedding/party/event to the next level! Armed with a diverse and dynamic repertoire, The Passenger Band is excited to entertain a wide variety of audiences, with a modular setup that can be customized to suit your event's personal needs. The band not only provides seasoned musicians and great songs, but we can also show up with all of the equipment/PA speakers/lighting necessary to make your gig unforgettable. Alyssa Magarian
On lead vocals we have Alyssa Magarian. She is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio where she started singing professionally at age 15. After graduating from Ithaca College with a BFA in Musical Theatre, Alyssa worked in theatre regionally before making her move to New York in 2014 to pursue a singing career. She has hit the mic all over the city and she is so excited to bring her vocals to your big day!

Eric Ryrie
Our guitar player Eric Ryrie doubles as our resident sound tech. As well as playing in many bands throughout his life in Boston and New York, he works as both a live and studio audio engineer.
Joe Reichel
Bringing the low end and high harmonies we have Joe Reichel on bass. Trained in vocal performance at NYU, Joe has been playing gigs in NYC for over a decade. He also drove the tour van for Built To Spill once, so you can be assured you are in good hands when you get on board with The Passenger Band!
Jason Laney
Jason Laney is The Passengers resident keyboardist. After graduating from Berklee College of Music, he spent several years in the piano bars of Austin, TX before making his way to Brooklyn. Since moving to New York, he’s played with dozens of bands, toured Europe, and even played Carnegie Hall! He and his fellow Passengers can’t wait to bring the party to your special event!
Austin Birdy
Austin, drummer and percussionist for the passengers, studied classical percussion at Boston Conservatory. There, he began playing and touring the country DIY with multiple bands, while also actively freelancing in local musical theatre productions up to the equity level. Since moving to NYC Austin has performed all over the tri-state area with regional theaters, off-broadway, and broadway cabaret. Austin has additionally enjoyed playing sessions with different artists and companies, he can be heard on releases from 23 different projects over the last 10 years.
